The Technology Behind ZumoDrive
Find out more about the inner workings of ZumoDrive
Performs Like a Local Drive
Cloud storage that feels local
ZumoDrive enables you to "supersize" each of your mobile devices without
compromising performance or usability. From any ZumoDrive-enabled device,
you can continue to open documents as usual from your file manager, play
songs in iTunes, and browse photos with your favorite photo software.
Works Offline
Keeps what you need locally
ZumoDrive can optimize a device's local capacity by storing some of your
files locally on the device and keeping other files in the cloud. ZumoDrive
intelligently determines which files to maintain locally based on user
activity. As a result, you will usually have all of the content you need
even if you are offline.
Deflated Files
Access a large library even with a small disk
Hybrid Cloud storage enhances your device's file system to enable files to
exist in a "deflated" state. A deflated file appears and acts like a normal
file but takes up no storage space. Once accesses, the file is automatically
and transparently "inflated" via a stream from the cloud. Even if not locally
stored, every file appears as a regular file, giving you seamless access to
unlimited capacity even on devices like smart phones and netbooks that have
very limited storage.
Secure, Reliable Storage
SSL Transferred. Stored in Amazon S3 with AES
ZumoDrive keeps your content securely backed up using Amazon's S3 datacenters.
Your files are first sent to the ZumoDrive servers using a secure SSL connection.
From there, your files are encrypted using military grade AES encryption and
sent to S3 where they are stored redundantly in 3 different physical locations.
